Veta Laverne Anderson, 84, of Harrison, died Wednesday, April 29 (2009) at Golden Living Nursing Home in Harrison.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at Christeson Funeral Home with Brother Wendell Crosswhite officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 1, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dale Van Winkle, Virgil Van Winkle, Rick Tharp, Melvin Raney, David Ruebell and Bill Campbell. Honorary pallbearers include Wendell Crosswhite, Jim Daniell, Tim Daniell and James Daniell.
The daughter of Jesse H. and Bertha (Hancock) Crosswhite was born July 7, 1924, at Lead Hill. She was a member of Elmwood Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur A. Anderson; her brothers, Bob and Kirby and Earl Crosswhite; and her sister, Rosa Nell King.
She is survived by her daughters, Debra Crow, Cindy Daniell of Harrison and Barbara Anderson; brothers, Thomas Crosswhite of Harrison, Wendell Crosswhite of Charleston and Don Crosswhite of Augusta, Ala.; sisters, Willa "Polly" Ohurmond of Paragould, Jacqueline Sharp of Trenton, Mo., Rita Raney of Harrison and Barbara Cash of Springfield, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren
