Virginia Eleaner Wirick, 83, Bloomington, died at 7 p.m. Saturday (July 24, 2010) at her home.

She was born Nov. 10, 1926 in McLean to Emmett and Lydia Smith Evans. She married Joseph G. Brooks on Jan. 23, 1944, at Bloomington. He passed away in 1968. She later married Thomas W. Wirick. He passed away in 1986.

Surviving area son, Jerry (Judy) Brooks, Bloomington; daughter, Jeanna (Tom) Winstead, McLean; siblings, Margaret (Carol) Myers, Danvers; Judy (John) Probus, Holder; Sam Evans, Frederick and Bobby Jo (Doreen) Evans, Carlock; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
