Jimmie D. Evans, 48, of rural Heyworth, died Friday, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Bloomington.
He was born Oct. 18, 1928, at Funks Grove, a son of Emmett and Lydia Smith Evans.
He married Freida Griffith on Dec.25, 1950, in Bloomington. She survives.
Also surviving are his father; two daughters, Mrs. Regina Rae McCrary, Villa Park; Miss DiAnne Evans; two sons, Jimmie and Stephen; four sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Baremore, Mrs. Virginia Wirrick and Mrs. Judith Probus and Mrs. Margaret Meyers; two sons, Sam and Bob; and four grandchildren.
He had been a driver for Breen Beverage Co. for 26 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local 26 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mr. Evans was a member of Heyworth Baptist Church.
