St. Matthews, SC - Robert Dreher Hungerpeler, 75, died Friday in an Orangeburg hospital. The funeral will be at 3 PM on Sunday at Gethsemane Baptist Church. Burial will be in West End Cemetery, directed by Dukes-Harley Funeral Home.
Mr. Hungerpeler was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late Fred D. and Indiola Jones Hungerpeler. He was a retired merchant and farmer. Survivors include one son, Robert D. Hungerpeler of St. Matthews; two daughters, Mrs. Burts Hair and Mrs. Kenny Bates, both of St. Matthews; one sister, Mrs. Olive Smoak of St. Matthews; three brothers, Rhude Hungerpeler and Arthur Hungerpeler, both of Columbia, and Fred D. Hungerpeler Jr. of St. Matthews; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.
