Son of Wesley Monroe Cameron Meadows and Carrie Etta Meadows

Dewey Clyde Meadows, 87, of Elkton, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at his home.

Mr. Meadows was born March 18, 1918, in Page County, and was the son of the late Wesley C. and Carrie Etta Meadows.

He attended the Meadows School in Jollett Hollow. He worked on the Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park and retired from Bond Lumber Company. He attended the Pentecostal Church.

Mr. Meadows was the last surviving member of 10 children.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Esther Lam Meadows, whom he married June 14, 1947; three sons, Edwin C. Meadows of Linville, Calvin L. Meadows of Harrisonburg and Clifton D. Meadows of Broadway; a daughter, Betty J. McRobie of Grottoes; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Johnny Hensley will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton. Burial will follow at Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the Meadows home at any time.
