W.J. CASTLEBERRY LIFELONG RESIDENT OF COUNTY PASSES

W.J. Castleberry, 55, a lifelong resident of Henderson County passed away at 1:25 last Thursday morning in a Jacksonville hospital.

Mr. Castleberry, a well known businessman of the county, had been in ill health for the past several years. He had lived in Brownsboro for the past 33 years.

Serving as a trustee and member of the Brownsboro school board for the past 21 years, he was also a member of the board of trustees of the Henderson County Junior College.

He was a member of the Brownsboro Masonic Lodge No. 1051, and a member of the First Methodist Church in Brownsboro.

Survivors include his wife; step-father, John Tedford, Murchison; three daughters, Mrs. C.S. Robnett, Tyler, Mrs. N.O. Reese, Brownsville and Miss Willie Ruth Castleberry, Tyler; four brothers, A.J. Castleberry, Lenora; Ennis Tedford, Brownsboro; Kelsey Tedford, Cross Roads and Clinton Tedford, Murchison; one sister Mrs. Blanche Edwards, Murchison and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Brownsboro Methodist Church, with the Rev. Joe B. Stuart, Rev. B.L. Owens and Rev. Roy Bibbs officiating.

Interment was in the New York Cemetery.

The Brownsboro Masonic Lodge was in charge at the graveside service.

Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
