JOEL F. BALES

Joel F., son of Jackson and Harriett Bales, was born Dec. 16, 1849, died Aug. 26, 1921, aged 71 years, 8 months and 10 days.
On March 21, 1871, he was married to Mary C. Abbott. To this union were born four children, two sons and two daughters. His wife and two daughters preceded him in death.
He had a paralytic stroke some fourteen months ago and was almost helpless until the end came.
He leaves to mourn: two sons, one brother and one sister and many other relatives and friends.
He was a member of Co F 140 Indiana Infantry.
Funeral services at White River, Aug. 29, 1921, at two o'clock p.m., conducted by Olynthus Cox.
