Nancy was the daughter of Joseph Ephriam Hudson & Melissa Amelia Aultman Hudson. Nancy never married. At her death she was survived by her sister-in-law Anise Delilah "Lila" Becham Hudson who was the widow of her brother James Russell "Ruffin" Hudson. At Lila's death she was buried beside Nancy. Though Nancy never had children of her own she helped care for the children of the family and was fondly remembered by her nephew Jonathan Earl Rucks, Sr. He always spoke of Nancy or "Nance" as he would call her. After the death of his mother at age seven he spent most summers with his grandparents Ruffin & Lila & his Uncle Cauley & Aunt Bertha. He would get scared at night and would run to jump into bed with his aunt. He would say, "Move over Nance!". She always pampered him growing up. Once when he got dirty after his mother Corrye dressed him up to go somewhere Corrye got so angry she was fussing. She said,"He's such an ugly boy, all dirty, just look at him!" His Aunt Nancy & Grandma came to his rescue saying, "Oh Kari, he's a pretty boy". He loved to tell and retell that incident.

Nancy's grave is covered by a concrete slab and was marked later by her nephew J.Earl & his son D.Brent. She has a small metal plaque that gives the dates 1855-1942.
