James Russell "Ruffin" Hudson was the son of Joseph Ephriam Hudson & Melissa Amelia Aultman Hudson. He married Mary Jane Rowland and after her death following childbirth he married Anise Delilah "Lila" Beckham, daughter of John W. Beckham, Jr. & Caroline Johnson Beckham. Ruffin was buried 28 Oct 1939 next to his daughter Corrye Dalton Hudson Rucks. Later his grandson Jonathan Earl Rucks,Sr. was buried on the other side of him. Ruffin was father to one child by his first wife and ten children by his second wife. Seven of his children were buried in the family plot before he died. Ruffin & Lila were married 25 Nov 1886 in Crawford County, Georgia. He was a farmer.
