Travers L. "T.L." Parsons was born January 28, 1918 in Hooker, Oklahoma to Overton Lee Parsons & Mattie Orlena (Brownlee) Parsons Windom and passed from this life July 20, 2010 in Wanette, Oklahoma after having attained the age of 92 years. T.L. attended elementary and high school in the Adams community in Texas County, OK. He then pursued an Industrial Arts degree at Panhandle State University for 3 years before his education was interrupted to serve his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. On June 23, 1941 he married Lois Caroline Fiegel at Shattuck, Oklahoma. They settled in the Wanette community 57 years ago, where he pursued his carpentry and ranching careers. T.L. & Lois have been married for 69 years and have 5 children, 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. T.L. was a wonderful example of Christian love, devoted to serving his Lord faithfully and loving, encouraging and enjoying his wife, children and grandchildren, his extended family and church family unselfishly. He was a charter member of the Wanette Lion's Club and a longtime member and deacon of the First Baptist Church where he directed the music for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Herbert, Jeff, Ernest, Preston and Harlin Parsons; sisters: Ola Mathis, Bessie Rawson, Cordia Humble and Gladys Mills; and one grandson: Jaye Gibson

Son & Daughter-in-Law: Randy & Lynn Parsons of Coolidge, AZ
