Hazel I. Stevens Scott, 94 of Quaker City, passed away Thursday (July 15, 2010) at Barnesville Health Care Center. She was born Aug. 1, 1915 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Charles W. Stevens and Maude V. Woodward Stevens. Mrs. Scott worked in the office of the former Cambridge Home Telephone Company. She was a member of Old Washington Presbyterian Church, Modern Woodman and the Eastern Star of Barnesville, having served as past matron. She was a 1933 graduate of Cambridge High School and a graduate of Cambridge Business College. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years, Roger C. Scott, whom she married Sept 16, 1939; on brother, John Thomas Stevens; and one sister, Glenna Willis. Mrs. Scott is survived by a son, Terry S. (Janice) Scott of Salesville; one sister, Eleanor Beymer of Old Washington; three grandchildren, Lee (Carla) Scott, Kim (Joey) Shreve and Steven M. (Julia) Scott; six great-grandchildren, Roger Tyler, Tyler Allen, Cody, Logan, Austin and Anthony. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Bundy-Law Funeral Home, Cambridge, where Eastern Star services will begin at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Revs. Andy Woods and William Worcester officiating. Burial will be in Guernsey Memory Gardens.
