Funeral services for Mrs. Sherman Laurence, 64, of the Pine Grove community were held Monday afternoon at the New York Baptist church, Rev Grover Bishop officiating.
Burial was in the New York cemetery under the direction of the Carroll and Lehr Funeral Home.
Mrs. Laurence was a lifelong resident of Pine Grove. She died Sunday at 7 a.m. after a brief illness.
She is survived by her husband, Sherman Laurence of Pine Grove; three sons, Charles A. Laurence of Kemp, R. Bea Laurence and Sherman Laurence Jr., both of Houston; one sister, Mrs. Mattie Cox of the New York community; twelve grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Fred Mitchell, Dan Mitchell, Tom Deupree, Walton Deupree, Lee Cox Jr. and Eddie cox.
