Services for Guy Douthit, 61, were held at Lueders Methodist Church officiated by Rev. C.B. Melton, pastor. Mr. Douthit was Methodist.

Guy Douthit married Jewel Thelma Ligon in 1919 at Denton, Texas.

Mr. Douthit owned / operated Douthit Cotton Gin in Stamford. He was prominent in Civic affairs, a cotton trader and cotton buyer. He was living in Dallas and was a patient of the Veteran's hospital at Waco since July 1938.

A veteran of World War I, he served in Frances and the Battle of the Marne.

Survived by his wife; two daughters - Mrs. Homer Cowan and Mrs. Forrest Dunlap, Jr; two grandchildren; three brohters; his mother; three sisters - Mrs. Charley Reagan, Mrs. Doris Long and Mrs. W.T. Barbee
