MOCKSVILLE - Clarence Franklin Forrest, 91, Greenhill Road, died Saturday (April 28, 2001) at Autumn Care.

Born Oct. 4, 1909, in Davie County, Mr. Forrest was the son of the late Lewis Bailey and Beulah Walker Forrest. A retired farmer, he had also worked for Erwin Cotton Mills and Formac Automotive. He was a member of Jericho Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by wife Sadie Mae Forrest and son Carl Franklin Forrest

Survivors include sons Roy Forrest, Galax, Va., and Harvey Forrest, Mocksville; daughters Sue Powell, Roseland,Va., and Carol Lawrence, Mocksville; brothers Paul Forrest, Mocksville, and Conard Forrest, Swansboro; sisters Georgia Booger, Novella Safley and Jean Seamon, all of Mocksville, and Juanita Prather, High Point; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services: 6 p.m. Tuesday at Jericho Church of Christ, conducted by Tom Torpy, Roger Powell and Tony Forret. Burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, Davie Funeral Service.
