Preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Mary Helen (Barneycastle) Forrest, on April 2, 2002; his parents, Lewis B. & Beulah (Walker) Forrest; sisters, Claudia F. Gantt and Frieda F. James; brothers, Clarence & Ralph Forrest; daughter-in-law, Carol T. Forrest.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth & Chip Essic and Brenda & Neal Essic; sons and a daughter-in-law, P. Tony & Janet Forrest and Norman Forrest, all of Mocksville, NC; sisters and their husbands, Georgia F. Boger, Thomasville, NC, Juanita F. & Herman Prather, High Point, NC, Novella F. Safley, and Jean F. & Ernest Seamon, all of Mocksville, NC; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Interment in the Church graveyard followed funeral srvices conducted Friday, October 28, 2005.

Note: One of 11 children, Paul Forrest's brother, Lewis Conrad "Conard" Forrest, also died today (Tuesday, October 25, 2005), at his home in Cape Carteret, NC. He was born on July 31, 1917.
