Abigail Marble Guilford, known as "Nabby", was the third of five children born to Samuel Marble (1729-1799) and his wife Abigail Hart Marble (1740-1773) of Danvers, Essex Co., MA. She married in Danvers on November 8, 1787 Simeon Guilford (or Gilford) (1766-1805). The couple had nine children, all born in Danvers: Samuel (b. 1788), Abigail (b. 1790), Rufus (b. 1792), Elizabeth (or Betsey, b. 1794), Esther (b. 1796), Ede (b. 1797), Mary (b. 1799), Lydia (b. 1801), Jonathan (b. 1803).
