Death of Mrs. Harvey Baker---- Another Old Settler of Muscatine County Called Beyond the Dark River.------ Word comes to us from Pleasant Prairie, that Mrs. Harvey Baker died at her home in Fulton township, near Pleasant Prairie, yesterday, at 3 o'clock, of pleurisy.

Her death was quite sudden and unexpected to her family and friends. The deceased had been in failing health all winter, but with the return of spring hopes were entertained that her health would be restored again. But alas for human hopes: about two weeks ago she took a severe cold, which developed a slight attack of pueumonia, but pleurisy set in and the enfeebled body gave up the struggle and succumbed to the inevitable. Thus the Master's sheaves of ripened grain are harvested one by one.

Harriet Freeman Baker was born in June, 1823, and was consequently, about 71 years of age. In 1843 she was united in marriage to Mr. Harvey Baker, who survives her.

Mrs. Baker came to Muscatine county, Iowa, in early day, being among the oldest settlers in the county.

She is survived by her husband and five children: George and Cyrus, of Muscatine county,
Frank and Mrs. Mallicoat, of Jasper county,
and Mrs. Gatton. of Milburn, Iowa.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 10 o'.lock from the family residence in Fulton township.---- Addition information---- Harriet born and married in Indiana/also saw Ohio?---- Mary E. Baker married George Gatton of Boulder, Montana---- Anna Baker married Thomas Mallicoat of Newton, Iowa
