Conductor Al. Shaw, mention of whose illness was made in our issue of last week, died at his home in this city, on Thursday night, March 14th, at twelve o'clock, after an illness of only three days. His parents from Gravity, Iowa, arrived the day following his death, intending their visit as a surprise, and were not aware that he was even sick. The news of his sudden death was a severe shock to them, coming as it did without a word of warning. The remains accompanied by the parents, his wife and two sons were taken back to the old home in Iowa where they were laid at rest. It is understood that Mrs. Shaw will not return to Wymore but will make her future home with relatives in Iowa.
