Eliza Schwartz passes

Casper - Mrs. Eliza Schwartz, 87, wife of a late, former U.S. senator from Wyoming, died at her home in Casper on Tuesday morning, Dec. 19.

She was born Oct. 2, 1891, at Sunshine, Md., where she was reared and educated.

On March 23, 1914, she married H.H. Schwartz at Annapolis, Md. They moved to Casper in 1920, where her husband was an attorney from 1936 to 1942. They later lived in Washington D.C. where her husband served as senator from Wyoming in the Senate. Her husband died in 1955.

Survivors are six children, Mrs. Helen Kelly and Mrs. Betty Harden, both of Casper; Tom H. Schwartz of Page, Ariz.; Richard C. Schwartz of Waldport, Ore.; Harry F. Schwartz of Sheridan; Mrs. Cuyler Voorheese of Tuscon, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Meals on Wheels or to the Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home.
