10/27/04, The Fulton County News, McConnellsburg, Pa.Ruth M. (Gerholt) Reed, 61, Mount Union, died unexpectedly at 1:45 p.m., M onday, October 18, 2004, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.Born February 13, 1943, in Licking Creek, Huntingdon County, she was the d aughter of the late John Lewis and Leona Almeda (Lantz) Gerholt.She is survived by four daughters and a son: Rose M. Thompson of Petersbur g; William Traxler of Florida; Mary M. Foor of York; Sara J. Klobetantz, S hade Gap, and Kathy G. Henry, Fort Littleton; nine grandchildren and fo ur great-grandchildren; two brothers: Merle "Tuck" Gerholt of Mount Uni on and Charles "Buck" Gerholt of Mapleton.She was of the Protestant faith.She had, at one time, worked for Empire Kosher in Mifflintown.She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and she loved animals.Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 21, at Robe rt D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union. Pastor Gordon Ross officiated. Buri al was made in Mount Union Cemetery.
