Miss Minnie Bonine and her little sister had a narrow escape from death Tuesday. They drove to the store and Minnie got out and did her trading and went out and got in the cart, and as they were turning around the horse became frightened and ran away with the girls. The horse first ran into Mr. Lamley's fence and broke one of the buggy shafts; then it started south with the girls in the broken cart and ran about three-fourths of a mile when they jumped out and the lines wound around a wheel and stopped the horse. When we got to the horse we found that it had run the broken shaft nearly through its leg, making an ugly wound. The girls were not hurt.
