Helen Rabon was raised by her grandparents, George & Barbara Rabon of Cool Springs, SC. Helen would refer to her grandfather as "Old Daddy George." Helen was a remarkably good cook & had company over quite often as she also enjoyed seeing others enjoy her food. She made gourmet style meals cooked mainly in cast iron pots on a wood stove. It was said at her wake "the best cook in Horry County is now dead." She was deeply missed in the community of Horry (Aynor) in Horry County, SC.
