SAMUEL CALVIN WERTZ
Aged 86, died at 7 o'clock this morning of diseases incident to old age. Deceased was born near Hollidaysburg on Nov. 20, 1848, a son of Solomon and Mary Bouslough Wertz. He was married to Mary Ellen Nepper on Feb. 2, 1871. The wife preceded the husband in death four years ago.

Mr. Wertz spent his entire life in Blair county. He is survived by three children, Mrs. Lutie Sissler, Mrs. H. Margaret Tauber and Charles S. Wertz, all of this city; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two sisters, Miss Lulu Wertz and Mrs. Ida Tippery of this city. One son died in infancy.

He was a member of the First Lutheran church. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Tauber, 807 East Pottsgrove avenue, in charge of Rev. Luke H. Rhoads, pastor of the First Lutheran church. Burial will be made in Greenwood cemetery.

Friends are asked to kindly omit flowers. The body may be viewed at the home of the daughter any time after 6 o'clock tomorrow evening.
