Graveside services were held at Antioch Cemetery in Halls, Tenn. Memorial Park Funeral Home was in charge.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Akin, the widow of Hershell O. Sanders and Jim Akin, leaves two daughters, Brenda S. Pope of Hernando and Ginger S. MacMillan of Nesbit; a son, Michael O. Sanders of Memphis, five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
The family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Memphis School of Preaching.
