Buddy was a believer of the Baptist Faith and loved gospel music.
He worked as an appliance repairman for over 40 years. He enjoyed computer, electronics and yard sales.
He was preceded in death by parents; Rosher and Teenie Burress and sisters; Pearl Hood, Behula Brown, Trula Seiber and Susie Hall.
Mr. Burress is survived by wife of 49 years; Phyllis Burress. Son Tommy and wife Robin Burress of Coalfield Lonnie and wife Rhonda Burress of the Joyner Community. Grand children Amanda Burress, Brandy and husband Michael Freels and Doug Burress. Great grandchildren; Michael Freels and Elijah Burress. A host of extended family members and special friends also survive.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 17, 2010 from 6:00 To 8:00 P.M. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg.
Funeral service will follow at 8:00 P.M. with Pastor Dewey Brown and Pastor Lonnie Lowe officiating. Graveside service will be Thursday at 1:00 P.M in Beechfork Cemetery.
