THE PARIS NEWS, Nov. 01, 2005: 'Marion Clifton 'Cliff' Woods, 80, of Paris died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are to be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Butler officiating. Interment follows in the Tuggle Springs Cemetery of Red River County. The family receives friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. He was born July 27, 1925, in Red River County, a son of Carl and Bertie Mable Huggins Woods. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, then worked in the oil fields until his retirement in 1982. He loved his family and his church, Paris Revival Chapel. In his spare time he enjoyed working on lawn mowers and spending time in the outdoors. He married Betty Skaggs on Oct. 3, 1978. He was preceded in death by his parents; all his siblings with the exception of one sister; a son, Clifton Wayne Woods; a daughter, Delinda Harwell; a grandson, Glenn Mitchell; and a step-son, Robert Kelly. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Joyce Mitchell, of Clinton, Okla.; a grandson, Tim Mitchell and wife, Susan, of Paris; a granddaughter, Shelley Taylor, of Woodward, Okla.; four great-grandsons, Dustin and Darron Mitchell, of Paris, and Serik and Gabrial Taylor, of Woodward; step-grandchildren Kasey and Cody Kelly, of Lubbock; a sister, Maurine Stanphill, of Mount Vernon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Named to serve as pallbearers are Ricky Thornton, George Richardson, Weldon Miers, Tim Mitchell, Dustin Mitchell and Don Cato.'

His second wife was Wanda Fay (Jones) Woods. She past away 7 June 2010. His first wife Gladys (Funderburk) Woods preceded him in death.
