Johnny "Jr." L. Rice Jr., 19, of Nedrow, passed away Saturday from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Born in Syracuse, he attended Onondaga Junior and Senior High School, SUNY Morrisville College and the Second Olivet Missionary Baptist Church. As a youth he played for the Valley Stallions Pop Warner Football League. While he was in high school, he was a member of the track and basketball teams. Johnny lived a full and happy life. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son, TyJohn Rice of Syracuse; his beloved parents, Monica M. Brown of Nedrow, Johnny L. Rice Sr. of Syracuse; half sister and brothers, Alexsis Rice , Amarish Rice , both of Syracuse, and Pierre Reddick of Connecticut; paternal grandmother, Annie Rice of Syracuse; maternal grandparents, Wyamon and Marion (DeDe) Brown of Syracuse; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
