Mrs. Bertha Edna Norris, of Pottsgrove road, Greenwood, died at the Altoona Hospital last evening of a stroke after a brief illness.

She was born Nov 30, 1887, in Cambria county, a daughter of John and Barbara Hainley and was employed at the cafeteria of the McKinley school, Greenwood. She is the widow of George A. Norris, who died in 1928. Surviving are six daughters and one son, J. Harvey Norris, Mrs. W.J. Hollman and Mrs. C.E. Stehley of Greenwood, Mrs. E.E. Hirschle, of Fort Wayne, Ind., Mrs. R.L. McElroy of Altoona, Mrs. Hazel Hand of Baltimore and Mrs. L. W. Tregoning of Detroit; 14 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters, Mrs. Laura Fish of Akron, O., and Mrs. Mary Austin of Juniata. Two sons, Harry G. and Glen A, preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Greenwood E.U.B. church, the Ladies' Bible class and the Ladies auxiliary of B. or R.T.

Friends will be received at the Mauk & Yates funeral home, Juniata, after 7 o'clock this evening.

NORRIS-Funeral services for Bertha Edna Norris of Pottsgrovee road, Greenwood, will be held Friday afternoon at 2 p.m., by Rev Charles Murray, at Mauk & Yates funeral home; Interment in Greenwood cemetery. Friends are being received at the Mauk & Yates funerale home after 6 p.m. Wednesday evening.
