Elsie M. Scott, 82, Muncie resident, died Thursday morning at Willamsburg Village.
She was born in Jackson County, the daughter of Orville and Emma Thompson Ault, attended Freetown Schools and came to Muncie in 1937. At one time, she was employed at Ball Brothers, Ontario Silver Plate and Marhoefer's.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Gentry and Peggy Keppler (husband-David), both of Muncie; five grandchildren, Lorri Crandall (husband-Steve), Indianapolis, Terri Panszi (husband-Jose), Brad Keppler (wife-Beverly) and David Scott Keppler (wife-Michelle), all of Muncie, and Brent Gentry, Silver Springs, Colo.; five great-grandchildren; five brothers, Robert Ault (wife-Rosemary), Eugene Ault (wife-Faye), Donald Ault (wife-Ona) and Franklin Ault (wife-Sharon), all of Freetown, and Jerry Ault (wife-Janet), Columbus; her sister, Alberta Abrell (husband-Robert), Muncie; her sister-in-law, Opal Ault, Freetown; her brother-in-law, Russell Ray, Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Scott, to whom she had been married 53 years, who died in 1992; her parents; two brothers, Howard and Hubert Ault; and three sisters, Opal Trissel, Theda Thompson, and Patricia Ray.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday in The Meeks Mortuary Chapel. Rev. James Turner will officiate. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary 2-5 p.m. Sunday.
