The description on this is inaccurate. I'm a primary researcher on this line for the past 30 years. Direct evidence shows the use of "Yakel" "Yeakle" and "Yakle" by her grandfather Peter as follows:
1850 Census shows born in "Virginia"named "Yakle"
1851 Marriage Certificate named "Yeakle"
1851 Gravestone for son Henry shows "Yeakle" (this stone carved by Peter a Stonemason)
1857 Land Use Office shows "Yeakle"
1860 Census shows born in "Maryland" named "Yakel"
