His funeral will be at 11 A.M. Friday at Winterrowd Funeral Home, Streator. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Streator.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. today at the funeral home.
He was born Aug 2, 1907, in Peru, a son of William H and Maud E (Mabie) Van De Warker. He married Marcella Ahrens Sept. 19, 1936, in Ottawa. She died in 1979.
Surviving are one son, Leo J., Tucson, Ariz., four sisters, Irene Murray, Largo, Fla., Margaret "Peg" Norem, Sun City, Fla., Elizabeth "Betty" Bell, Albuquerque, N.M., and Patricia Bixler, Seminole, Fla., four grand-children; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Van De Warker lived in Streator and Ottawa areas most of his life. From 1967 until 1980, he lived in Florida. He was a former owner and operator of Reliable Rug Cleaners. He was a member and past master of the Streator Masonic Lodge and former member of the Illinois National Guard.
Leo died of lung cancer.
