SHELBURNE - Margaret Van De Warker Norem of Shelburne, died on Friday, May 7, 2010, in Birchwood Terrance Healthcare from natural causes.

She was known as Peg to her friends and family.

Born in Ottawa, Ill. on Aug. 14, 1919, to Maude and William Van De Warker.

Margaret went to nursing school in Chicago and became a registered nurse. She worked as a registered nurse for 30 years. Peg and her husband, Nelson, lived in several different states throughout their 68 year marriage. After leaving Illinois, they moved to Wyoming, California, Nevada, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, back to California and finally to Vermont. Peg loved each and every one of them, but she particularly enjoyed her time in Florida. She enjoyed picnicking at the beach, collecting seashells, and bird watching. Peg and Nelson enjoyed traveling and were fortunate to visit Europe, Scandinavia, and many wonderful and interesting National Parks in the United States and Canada.

Peg is survived by her husband, Nelson; her daughter, Carol Angus and her husband, Dr. David Angus, of Essex Junction; her daughter, Susan Moore and her husband, Rich Rambur of Pilot Hill, Calif.; and grandchildren, Amanda Smullen, David Angus II, Brooke Angus, Kristin Brown, and Jeffrey Moore. Peg had four great-grand children.

Peg will be buried at Oakwood Memorial Cemetery in Ottawa, IL.
