OBITUARY- VERA VELMA BUCKLES

Vera Velma Buckles was born in Table Rock, Nebraska, on February 28, 1903, and passed away at the home of her sister in Lincoln on September 10, 1945, at the age of 42 years, 6 months and 13 days.

She graduated from the Table Rock high school, and later taught school in Grand Island, Nebraska. She was a member of the Rebekah lodge.

She joined the Methodist Church in Table Rock at an early age and retained her membership there until the last. On September 19, 1933, she was married to Wilber Baxter, and nine years ago they moved to Los Angeles, California.

Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her passing, one son, Ensign Wayne Hoover, who is with the Merchant Marine; one daughter, Verla Jane; one brother, Roy Buckles of Beatrice; two sisters, Mrs. Madie Fisher of Lincoln, and Mrs. Lillie Day of Yakima, Washington.

Funeral services were held at the Kovanda Chapel in Table Rock on Friday afternoon with Rev. E. P. Booher in charge. Interment was made in the Table Rock cemetery where the Rebekahs had charge of the services at the grave.
