FORMER RESIDENT DIES; FUNERAL HELD IN BEATRICE.
Roy W. Buckles, who resided in the Paddock Hotel in Beatrice, fell dead Monday night while attending a dance at Virginia, according to Gage County Sheriff Ned Maxwell. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Buckles was born July 6, 1882 in Missouri and moved to the Beatrice community from Table Rock in 1935. He farmed near Table Rock for several years and south of Beatrice until his retirement several years ago.
He is survived by his wife Emma; two sons, Leonard of Ericson and Arnold of California; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Fisher, Lincoln, and Mrs. Lillie Day of Humboldt.
Funeral services were held today at the Harman Mortuary in Beatrice with the Rev. H. H. Lample officiating. Interment was made in the Table Rock cemetery.
