Clarence was the son of John Butler Reed and Sarah Patterson. He married Maggie Belle Wright on 10 Sep 1902 in Grant county, Indiana. They had four children: Edna Irene, Fern, Wilbur Theodore, and Sara Pauline. Clarence moved to Ashtabula county in Ohio with his parents in the 1920s and passed away there in 1930.
