The subject of this brief notice Permelia (sic) Ann, wife of Henry Edwards was born near Murfeesburg Tenn., August 1, 1825. When a small child her parents moved to Sangammon (sic) Co. Ill. Here the subject of our notice made a public profession of faith in Christ and joined the C. P. church in the 17th year of her age. Was united in marriage to Henry Edwards, October 13, 1842. They made their home in the above named state until Jan. 27, 1882 when they moved to Republic Co. Kan.
Mother Edwards was in failing health for a number of years, yet she bore her afflictions with christian (sic) courage. She departed this life April 5, 1901, aged 75 years, 7 months and 4 days. She leaves an aged husband, two sons and many friends to mourn her absense (sic) , yet we mourn not for the departed.
The funeral services were held at the house, conducted by the writer, resisted (sic) by Rev. A. B. Johnson. After which the remains were neatly laid away in the Maple Grove Cemetry (sic) to await the resurrection morn. S. M. Hunt.
