With the age at death noted of fifty-two, that would place his birth year as 1677 and his age at his first marriage as sixteen. Parran descendants and researchers believe that the recorded age at death is incorrect for reasons unknown and place his year of birth near a decade earlier, about 1668, which remains unconfirmed.
