Aged Mother of Mrs. Homer Glascoe Dies Here Monday Morning.
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Gibbs Hastie, who died here at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Homer Glascoe, early Monday morning, were held at the Glascoe home Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Rev. Robert S. McKee officiated.
Mrs. Hastie has been in failing health for several years, and has been bedridden for the past six weeks. Death came at 7:30 Monday morning.
She was born in Canada, February 7, 1843, and was the widow of Robert Hastie. At the time of her death she was 93 years, 4 months, and 8 days old.
Special music for the ceremony was given by Miss Anna Moores and Miss Mantie Graves, who sang a duet, accompanied by Mrs. Ralph Kerbow at the piano.
Mrs. Eva Rhode, Mrs. Ed Bromley, Mrs. John Sims, Jr., and Mrs. R.C. Weatherly, Sr., members of the Eastern Star Lodge, were in charge of the flowers.
Pallbearers were Frank Bourland, George Ryan, Clyde Douglas, Crockett Taylor, Ralph Kerbow, and Dr. T.H. Ellis.
Interment was in the Citizens cemetery.
