Franklin County Native Dies at Home of Daughter - To Be Buried in Cincinnati
Mrs. Elizabeth Enxel, 78 years old, for nearly eight years a resident of this city, expired Thursday morning at 8:45 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Welage, south Michigan avenue. Heart trouble was the immediate cause of her death. She had been in declining health for some time.
The deceased was born at St. Mary's community, Franklin county. Her parents were Anthony and Elizabeth Runnebohm. The family located in the Prescott community, Shelby county, where the deceased lived until her marriage to Barney Enxel, after which she lived in Cincinnati. Her husband passed away 23 years ago.
Mrs. Enxel continued her residence in Cincinnati until seven and one-half years ago, when she came to Greensburg. She was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic church here and was identified with the Ladies' Rosary Society of the church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ed Welage, of Greensburg, and Mrs. Anna Meyer, of Cincinnati; two sons, Harry Enxel and Stephen Enxel, both of Cincinnati; a brother, Andrew Runnebohm, of Shelby county; three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Ast, of St. Joe, Kan., Mrs. Anna Fischer, of Ottawa, Kan., and Mrs. Rose Grower, of Cincinnati; and twelve grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the St. Mary's Catholic church here, and burial will be in the St. Mary's cemetery in Cincinnati.
