Sarah Jane Pyle Allder, daughter of Nicholas Pyle, Jr. & Mary Pyle and the wife of Dr. James L. Allder. They married 13 September 1836 in Christian County, Kentucky (Kentucky Marriages, 1785-1979, page 140). James L. Allder died 1858 in Kentucky (Possible burial in Fruit Hill Precinct, as this is where some of his future son-in-laws families were located).

After the death of her husband, James L. Allder (1858), she decided to move the family to Texas. Enroute she became alarmed at the news of Indian uprisings and other troubles in Texas and decided against moving there.

She had family in Missouri, her father, mother, sister(although these three were deceased by now) and other siblings and cousins, so they turned around and arrived in Missouri on Christmas Eve. In a few years, one of her daughters, Emily Melissa (called Sarah E. M. Allder in her father's will) married William Wesley Pyle. (Emily's third cousin)

Sarah died of cancer in Madison Township, Cedar County, Missouri. Her death certificate is signed by her son, Dr. John E. Allder.
