11-19-1856 -- 1-30-1921
Mrs. Nettie Hall Watson was born in Clarion Co., Nov. 19th, 1856, and died at her home in Kellettville, Jan. 30th, 1921.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband John Watson, two sons William G. of Kellettville and Sager S. of Kingsley; and four daughters, Mrs. Rose Peterson at home, Mrs. Maude Hendrickson, Mrs. Bertha Patch both of Endeavor and Mrs. Mable McMillen of Kansas; 13 grandchildren; 4 sisters and 3 brothers. She was married to Mr. Watson Feb. 20th, 1878, and they were among the first settlers in Kellettville, where they reared their family and lived a quiet unassuming life. Mrs. Watson has suffered more or less with liver trouble for several years, but was able to be around most of the time. Several weeks ago she contracted a sore foot which continued to grow worse. On last Thursday, she had it lanced and it apparently was improving when she was taken with a severe attack of her old trouble which caused her death early Sunday morning.
Arrangements for the funeral will be made later when word has been received from Mrs. McMillen.
Mrs. Watson's activities were confined principally to her own home where she proved a liberal housewife. To those who knew her she was a good neighbor.
Her going makes another break in the line of pioneer settlers in our little village. The husband of Mrs. Watson is a brother of the late G. F. Watson and a father-in-law of Mrs. Cora Watson of this place.
