Mrs. Fannie Phillips Dies

Early Saturday morning the sweet spirit of Mrs. Fannie Phillips passed away. Although confined to her bed for sixteen years it was not until about ten days ago that her condition became alarming.

Throughout her years of invalidism this beloved woman was cheerful and patient in her suffering. Never was she known to complain, and not once did she fail to express her thanks and appreciation for each kindness shown her. Possessed of a winning personality, she was indeed an inspiration to all with whom she came in contact. Her Bible became and steadfastly remained her constant companion until her death at the mature age of seventy-eight.

Funeral services were held in the home and were conducted by Rev. G A Baker, pastor of the Methodist Church of which Mrs. Phillips was a member. Interment followed in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, beneath a mound of beautiful flowers.

Surviving are two sisters, Mesdames Allie Harris and S E Gregory, a niece, Mrs. G B Blake and a nephew, Mr. W A Baskin besides a number of other relatives.

We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved ones.
