Augusta (Heebner or Struck) Kuether was born in Germany October 6, 1863. She was reportedly born a twin who died along with her mother in childbirth. She was raised by her uncle and aunt Heebner.

She came to the United States in 1883 and married Ferdinand Kuether that same year. She became the matriarch of a large family of 11 children including adopting one of her grandchildren.

She died on May 20, 1930.
