W. H. (Harrison) Burnett passed away Sunday, January 9, in a Stillwell, Okla., hospital. He was born near Pettigrew, March 10, 1893, the son of J. K. P. Burnett and Desty Smith Burnett, and was married to Pearl Stapleton March 11, 1916. He was a farmer and lived in the Piney Community near Stilwell.
Survivors are his widow, Pearl; two sons, Ty of Pawnee, Okla., and Tris of Lawton, Okla.; six daughters, Maxene Bennett, Joplin, Mo., Mildred George, Dallas, Texas, Marjorie McBride, Grand Prairie, Texas, Mary Faye Young, Jackson, Miss., Betty Hembree and Ruth Fredrick, both of Oklahoma City; four sisters, Mrs. Roy D. Ogden, Stilwell, Mrs. D. E. Eddy and Florence Barker of Huntsville, and 18 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 12, at 2 o'clock at Roberts Funeral Home in Stillwell with Rev. G. H. Crittenden of the Central Baptist Church of Stigler, Okla., officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery.
