T. C. (Tim) ABICHT

Timmons Christian Abicht, 65, a life-long resident of the Sherman area, died early Thursday in a Sherman hospital after an extended illness. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Key Memorial United Methodist Church, with Rev. Tom Graves conducting, assisted by Rev. Michael Daves of Prairie Heights United Methodist Church and Rev. William Slack Jr. of the United Methodist Church of The Good Shepherd in Arlington. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery under the direction
of the Dannel and Son Funeral Home.

Born on a farm west of Sherman Oct. 12, 1902, Mr. Abicht was the son of George W. and Addie Grudier Abicht. He was married Nov. 6, 1923, to the former Anna Lee Peoples. He was a member of the Key Memorial United Methodist Chruch where he served on the board of stewards and was a member of the choir. He was a former choir director and Sunday School Superintendent of Friendship Methodist Church where he was also active in the Friendship Cemetery Associatin. He was a member of Travis Lodge 117 AF&AM, and was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife of 1509 Shields; one daughter Mrs. Don Shadden of Grand Prairie; two sisters, Mrs. A. P. Kumler and Mrs. John Dalton, both of Sherman; and three grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home Friday evening and at other times they
will be at the residence, 1509 Shields.

Memorials may be made to the Perpetual Care Fund at Friendship Cemetery.
