Uncle Ted was a retired US Postmaster & veteran of WWII. After his stepson, Elmer Lawrence, died aboard the USS Oklahoma when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, Uncle Ted joined the US Marine Corp (1942-1945). Although he was really above the age for enlistment, he proudly served his country.
He was tall, and slender, loved that silly dog "Patsy", but loved Aunt Minnie around the moon and back.
Uncle Ted was the son of Oliver Perry & Louisa Taylor Cain. His first marriage (1913) was to Jennie Lorena Mayfield in Owen Co, IN and they had a daughter, Delorice May Cain. After their divorce, he married Delena Mary Lambert in Owen Co, IN on Nov 14, 1916. They had two son's, Taylor Reed Cain, Jr and Charles Robert Cain.
Together, Uncle Ted and Aunt Minnie, did not have any children.
