Harvard resident, June (Albers) Shore) Johnson, 91, died July 4th, 2010 at the Harvard Rest Haven in Harvard. June was born March 9, 1919 to Elmer and Evelyn (Baudreau) Albers on a farm north of Campbell, NE. in Kearney County.

She attended Presley County School and Campbell High School. In 1935 she moved with her family to Hastings, NE. As a youth she worked with a government project, the "National Youth Association" doing sewing.

On March 6, 1940 she married Elmer Shore of Hastings at her parent's home. They farmed near Proctor, CO. and ran a donut delivery store in Sterling, CO. In 1945 they returned to Nebraska and farmed near Pauline and Ayr. In 1955 they moved to Harvard, NE. with their two sons, Lynn and Gayle. Elmer died of a heart attack in November 1972. June was a homemaker, did special sewing, baking and also worked at various businesses in Harvard. Through the years she helped with Girl Scouts and the Harvard Fun Festival Days. She was a member of the Harvard United Methodist Women, Harvard Women's Club, VFW Auxiliary, Order of Eastern Star, Glendale Club, Bible study groups and neighborhood birthday club.

In November of 1975, she married Ivan Johnson at the Saronville United Methodist Church. They resided at Harvard. When the Saronville Unite Methodist Church closed in 1982 they joined the Harvard First United Methodist Church. Ivan and June did a lot of traveling, camping and enjoyed family activities. Her husband Ivan died in December 1994.

She is survived by two sons, Lynn Shore and wife Lynn of Battlement Mesa, CO., Gayle Shore and wife Roietta of Harvard, NE., 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Other family survivors in June's life are Mark and Gretchen Gentry of Arvada, CO., Debra and Edward Halverson of Denver, CO., Aunt Rita Soucie of Longmont, CO., Aunt Jean Baudreau of Kearney, NE., brother-in-law Robert Vahlkamp and family of Cape Carol, FL., many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.

From the Ivan Johnson family she is survived by Virgil Johnson and wife Nadine, Don and Wanda Keller, Robert Stone and wife Sherol, 14 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, LeRoy Albers, Elwyn(Hienie) Albers, Lawrence(Larry) Albers and sister Gwen(Peach) Maul.
