A Memorial Service will be held at the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist church, 4829 College Drive East, Collegedale, TN on June 13, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. Visiting with the family will take place following the service until 6:00 p.m.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Dygert Albers in 1980. He is survived by his daughter, Shiree Nichols and son-in-law, Tim Nichols of Apopka, FL, daughter, Rene Czerkasij and son-in-law, Victor Czerkasij of Cleveland, TN, grandsons, Michael Nichols and spouse, Sabely, Benjamin Nichols, Alex Czerkasij, Nikolaus Czerkasij and sister June Johnson of Harvard, NE.

LeRoy L. Albers was born on February 6, 1925 in Campbell, NE to Elmer and Evelyn Albers. His siblings included Elwin Albers, Lawrence Albers, June Johnson and Gwendolyn "Peach" Maul. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1942 and Union College, Lincoln, NE in 1947. He was a minister with the Seventh-day Adventist church for 45 years and served in Nebraska, Utah, Alabama Florida, Ohio, Iowa and New Jersey. He was most recently living in Tennessee with his daughter, Rene Czerkasij and enjoying volunteer work with nursing students at Southern Adventist University. He has touched many lives and wanted to give God all the glory.
