GARNER -- Forest Mason Sidbury, of 126 Broughton St., a retired bridge foreman with the NC Dept. of Transportation with 35 years of service, died Monday.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Raynor Sidbury; his son, William Mason "Bill" Sidbury; and sisters, Marjorie Burnett; and Hazel Lee Player.

He was a Charter Member of the Garner Volunteer Fire Dept.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Garner. Entombment, Montlawn Memorial Park.

Surviving: his daughter, Brenda S. Carpenter and her husband, Jim Carpenter of Garner; grandchildren, Tonya Carpenter of Wilmington; Leann Carpenter of Garner; Stephen Sidbury of Knoxville, TN; and Shannon Easley of Smyrna, TN; a greatgrandchild, Meredith Easley; brothers, James W. Sidbury of Charlotte; and Charles F. Sidbury of Rocky Point; and many nieces, and nephews.
