Phyllis was born in Decatur in 1934 to Merlin and Geneva (Kohr) Barber. She enjoyed reading; gatherings with friends and family; had a soft spot in her heart for all animals; was a longtime member of Central Christian Church. She married Chesley Glover in 1956. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include: her son, Scott Glover of Arizona; sister, Elaine Hynds (Don) of Decatur; nephews, Steve Hynds of Decatur, David Hynes of Florida; niece, Lori Henry of Monticello.
